Two Design Intelligent Awards 2018
The Toyota Fuel cell towing tractor received the DIA Excellence (Top10) and the Toyota 8FBN electrical forklift the DIA Innovation (Top100).
“I designed the fuel cell concept not only focusing on style: I made sure that the shape fulfills many functions. Toyota Material Handling Group always creates designs with functional beauty in mind, a philosophy that is also applied within product design,” says Tadayuki Yakushi Design Manager.
Design Intelligence Award (DIA) is an internationally recognised academic award in industrial design established in China 2015. A total 5907 from 52 countries registered for the competition, which mean that top 10 is just only 0.17%. The award ceremony of DIA 2018 was held in Nanshan campus of China Academy of Art on May 8.
