Milan Design Week
Since 2024, TMHE Design Center is participating in the Milan Design Week, Fuorisalone, showcasing our innovative concepts, academic collaborations and artistic connections.
With our Milano exhibitions we aim to provide a window into the logistics industry, as seen and experienced through the lens of Design, and the culture of TMHE Design Center.
In 2024 our exhibition titled “Let’s Give you a Lift” centered around the many areas of activity our Design Center is involved in. The title, representing a play on words around the concept of logistics, fokrlifts - it’s what we do, but also an invitation to the public to be transported into our world. Moreover, the event was an opportunity to strengthen the relationships and connections with our suppliers, by including them as partners and guests for talks and demonstrations. Together, we lift each other up.
The Exhibition focused around 3 thematic areas, divided into 3 rooms: TLDC (Toyota Logistic Design Competition) - featuring 2022 winning projects as well as 2024 finalists, our Open Studio - a replica of our design center, complete with projects, school collaborations, videogames and a talk area and, last but not least, the Hand Pallet Truck room: recounting the humble history of the HPT, as well as presenting our visions for the object’s future.
Milan Design Week 2023
Our first participation in the Milan Design Week as an exhibitor.
Out stand was located in the “loftino”, inside the prestigious Tortona Rocks complex in Opificio 31, Tortona.
The exhibit was centered around the Toyota Logistic Design Competition’s history and launch of the 2024 edition.
This pilot even was extremely successful and served as a POC for a design fair. We have gained general awareness, industry and academic connections and promotion for the TLDC.
We have also involved our suppliers and partners, gave rise to the now established tradition of Aperi-Wrapping and decorating 1 power pallet truck by the design team and the public.
